What is the Sonic Design Agency?

In a nutshell, we design bespoke sound and music for everything from sonic logos (think Intel) to movie trailers.

Our award-winning composers and sound designers are at your disposal. Add to that a unique library of pre-cleared music and a suite of world-class studios, and you can see why we’re trusted with global brands.

We apply the premium production values, gained from our expertise in creating sound for film soundtracks, high-end commercials and cinematic game intros, to your latest project. Sound is our passion.

Worried we might be out of your price range? Talk to us. We think you’ll be pleasantly surprised.

We realise sound in different contexts to maximum effect using our understanding and experience of how sound works and how music can drive emotion and interpretation of a story, a brand, an image or an environment.  As designers of film soundtracks, cinematic game intros and high end commercials.  we can apply high production value principles that can wow audiences to any medium, scaling that sound experience to everything from sonic logo’s to iphone games

Impact

Creating impact is something we relish with the opening scenes for Turning Point and Rogue worrior providing the kind of impact that will suck you in and leave a smile on your face.  The Crysis2 teaser allowed us to explore the sound/picture collaboration with the images coming after the sound.  Films such as AsylumHallam Foe and Recently Valhalla Rising have all presented different sonic challenges using found sound, music and electronic manipulation to create sound-worlds that immerse and drive the narrative.

Identity

Scoring the STV Channel ident challenged us to present the personality of the channel to a very wide demographic and at the same time keeping  it fresh.  CoorsToyotaSterling FurnitureEorpaHighland Spring and One North East campaigns have all been successful examples of music defining and celebrating the brand.

Interactivity

Our interactive work with the likes of Mercedes and London Transport Museum have been illustrative of how sound can bring a virtual experience to life.    We created the soundscapes for all the cut scenes for the Finding Nemo Game for PS2 and  for Tern TV’s RTS award winning KNTV which inspired a website slabovia.tv and then an iphone game ‘guts’.  We relish the new opportunities in the field and are working with digitial media companies on exciting possibilities for sound.
